We've designed our products to be durable and easy-to-use. And our clients are happy with the way they just work - without fuss or mess. Here are a selection of questions they've come up with over time. If you have a question you don't see here, please let us know about it and we'll post it on this page for everyone to read.
A: We've spent a lot of time making sure these wheel bearing maintenance products are robust enough to last for many years. In fact, workshops across Australia are proving that we've got it right. The inventor of the Bearing Packer products is a motor mechanic himself, and he knows all about the kind of abuse workshop tools get. The high impact plastics used have been carefully chosen to be durable yet light. The shaft is made from chromed steel and the retainers are made from high quality stainless steel. These are carefully engineered, tough products that - when taken care of - will last you many years.
A: Our customers are unanimous about this: absolutely! For busy mechanics having to repack, grease or replace lots of wheel bearings weekly, these products will pay for themselves in a short time in wasted rags and grease alone. Not to mention the time saved, and the sheer amount of stress removed.
A: We've designed both products to be super easy to use. However, you can find full, step-by-step instructions for both of them on this website. Click here for the Roller Packa 1. Click here for the Roller Cleaner 1. Of course, you can also look at the instructional videos we've put on the site. If you've still got questions, though, feel free to drop us a line.
A: Our products are designed to work with any open cage tapered roller bearing and also with an unsealed ball race. They will cater for bearings with an outer cage diameter of between 35mm - 95mm. Practically, that means many cars, motorbikes, trailers, caravans and agricultural vehicles and implements - even some light aircraft. If you're not 100% sure whether it will work with the roller bearings you commonly pack, why not contact us and we'll advise you.
A: Bearing Packer Systems is currently in the final stages of Research and Development of products designed for these specific applications. You can register your interest with us, and we'll contact you as soon as they are available.
A: You should ALWAYS use the lubricant recommended by the manufacturer of the bearing. However, this will normally be a specific high temperature bearing grease. NOTE: It's VERY important NEVER to mix grease types. For more information, please visit our techie page.
A: For full details, contact your cleaning product supplier for suitable de-greasing fluids. NOTE: Never use Acetone with your Roller Cleaner - it will damage the plastic.
A: All of our bearing packing and cleaning products come with a 12 month warranty against defective manufacture or failure during normal use. Honestly, though, they should last a lifetime of careful use. If you DO have a problem, though - just let us know.
A: If you're planning on buying a carton lot, we'll certainly consider looking after you with a special deal. Contact us and we can talk more about it.
A: We're proud to say that all of our products are proudly designed, manufactured, assembled and packaged right here in Australia, using Australian materials and personnel. Demand from Europe and the US may mean, however, that we set up production plants in those countries in time, too.
A: Absolutely. And in time, these products will be available for local shipping within the US and Europe. In the meantime, we're happy to ship to anywhere in the world. Shipping costs are detailed at checkout. If you're interested in shipping a bulk order overseas, please contact us and we'll put together special pricing for you.
